Over small and minority business owners from across the state will meet face-to-face with over 80 representative from colleges, universities, federal, state and local government agencies as well private corporations at the Metroplex Event Center on Thursday, September 8, , for the Arkansas Small and Minority Business Matchmaking Conference. The Arkansas Small and Minority Business Matchmaking Conference provides unique opportunities for small and minority businesses to meet with buyers and suppliers who are motivated to award contracts and sub-contracts to smaller businesses. While the matchmaker conference does not guarantee contracts, simply because of the nature of the normal bidding process between buyers and suppliers, it does create opportunities for small and minority business to hold personal, one-on-one meetings with potential clients that would have taken weeks or months — if ever — to research and schedule on their own.
