Today before we share our first line with you, we have author Cecily Wolfe visiting with us: Some authors I have hoarded for many many years: It is pretty rough at times but there is a strong message throughout about family and honesty, about hope, and standing by those you love. But when I got to the third episode, everything changed-I started to love it! Being four hours long, this version has enough time to flesh out all the characters and storylines. Both the versions, being so short, had to obviously cut some stuff out. Elton stuff got the shaft. This one does justice to both, plus more!

How about a thorough background check on the Korean spouse instead?

And I mean tossed-in-the-air, fall-flat-on-my-back thrown. That soothed my pride but not my aching muscles. A couple years later, I sat astride the family pony which I seldom rode in the pasture across from our house. His saddle slid sideways.

Matchmaking for Beginners was a meh kind of book. Not boring but not really exciting either. Not boring but not really exciting either. Out of all the characters, only one was really my favorite: Blix.4/5.

If you missed any of the reviews or reading the first chapter of the book, go back and do so now It was hard to tell; he had come home from the war a mysterious stranger, with only glimpses of his former playful self who had always been ready for a new lark. I would definitely recommend this book to other readers, especially those who enjoy a good clean romantic novel.

He rose, his posture straight as a tin soldier. The lamplight shone on his dark hair, regulation-short rather than stylish, but it suited his new military bearing. I was quickly sucked into the story and didn’t want to leave. I loved the slow buildup of the romance between these two, and how everything works out. Like I said, its a charming regency that will warm your heart.

What was your favorite chapter or part to write and why? The first chapter was effortless; it practically wrote itself.

Why care about reader reviews when you have access to the top professional ones? Well, I like to think of each Goodreads user review as a patron who has come up to my desk to talk about a book they enjoyed. It can be difficult for patrons to open up in person, but on Goodreads they’ve had time to sit down and write out their candid thoughts — essentially, a dream come true for RA librarians!

I focus on readers’ five-star and one-star reviews, because these are the most passionate lovers and haters of a title.

Not all their friends have found a way past their romantic failures, but Simon and Adrian might be on the path to happily-ever-after. He was so much more than that, though I know some people thought it strange that I went to all the trouble of making this shy, sweet Deaf professor for Chase to NOT wind up with, lol.

But if you want even further back, you would have to go back to my college days and lust over the sexiest college prof ever. The subject is wrong, the orientation is wrong.

The characters seem to be compelling and quirky enough to carry this thing. Okay, This is the kind of book that will likely get made into a holiday rom-com starring an awkward mishmash of celebrities in a couple years, but it made me laugh quite a bit, so it gets 3. Marnie doesn’t know what to do after a Kardashian-quick marriage, but her family does! Move home to Florida! Find a job you hate! Make lots of rash decisions that you’re in no mental state to make!

They urged her to do the absolute worst things for her emotional health, then acted surprised when she repeated the cycle. But maybe if you never fight, it only means you don’t care enough. This is where I think Dawson was trying to throw things in to make the book longer. Yes, Marnie is experiencing a major life change, but that doesn’t mean we need to drag hapless random characters through the mud who won’t end up meaning anything.

There were unnecessary plot lines that weren’t integral at all to Marnie finding her way, but we’re supposed to buy them as whimsical speed bumps.

The 2016 Reading Challenge.

Posted on September 17, by Brittany This was the first book that I have read by this author, and I can heartily and definitely say that it will not be the last! What was so special about it? Well, for one, it had a bit of a fairy tale quality to it that really appealed to me. This story was packed with swoony scenes that can take your breath away! The next thing that charmed me about Just the Way You Are was the humor.

I had quite a few laugh out loud moments.
